How to Do it Right in 2008

Set Goals and Use Time Wisely in 2008!Well, we've made it through another year!  Today and each day after will be an opportunity to start afresh, to revitalize old dreams and to make new promises and resolutions in an attempt to get it right this time.  Doesn't this seem eerily similar to last year?  Didn't we make those resolutions, set those new goals, promise to ourselves that we were going to do it right in 2007? Haven't we been down this road before?  So, how can we do it differently this time?  How can we make sure that in 2008, all those goals and dreams and wishes and promises happen?  We don't have to fail in 2008!  We can make it happen!

Talent Is Never Enough

It seems as though John Maxwell comes out with a new book weekly.  Just as I begin to read one of his books another one appears.  Awhile back, when he came out with The Difference Maker, I grabbed it off the shelf and hurried home to read it.  It seemed as though no sooner than I had settle it to really absorb what I was reading, Maxwell came out with his next book, "Talent is Never Enough".  Come on!  I haven't had time to read the first one!

Reading is very important to me.  Few things accelerate your career faster than continual improvement.  If you want to be the best salesperson on the planet, then you must read literature by the acknowledged best.  Additionally, you must always read trade journals, industry publications, financial news and of course, gobble up all the content you can on web sites like Success Central

But with new books coming out every day, how do you keep up on the best?  What do you do to make sure you are absorbing all the newest, greatest and most pertinent information without becoming a full time copy editor?  For me, the decision was simple.
