Plan Your Day
When it comes to planning, many of us, including myself, lack the necessary discipline to do it on a consistent basis. But few things are more important in our lives than planning our day, our weeks, our years. Yet most of us fail to do just that.
We only go this way once. Why live it haphazardly? We should never leave our life to chance. We should leave it to choice. When we plan, we choose to live our lives the proper way. If you don’t know how to plan, learn today. Once you learn, begin to plan right away. Plan tomorrow, right now. Don’t leave another day of your life to chance.
Catch Them Doing Something Right!
It is easy to criticize. It is very simple to find fault with something someone else is doing. This is especially true with our loved ones. Children seem to take the brunt of this criticism. How often have you seen parents admonishing their children over the child’s failure to do simple tasks, or to do something a certain way? I see it everywhere. I suppose some parents think that it is vogue to tear down the self esteem of a child in public. It somehow makes the parent a better, more involved adult. It’s never right to berate a child or anyone esle, in public or private. Yet it happens everyday, everywhere.
Instead of looking at the faults, what you perceive as the negatives in a child, spouse or friend, look at the positives that person or child brings to your life. Look at the joy and happiness they put in your heart. When you look at it that way, and at the same time try to imagine your life without them, then those little things they need work on really don’t seem to matter that much. Instead of looking for them to do something wrong, catch them doing something right! Let them know how much you appreciate them and what they bring to your life.
By doing so, you will make a tremendous difference in their lives as well.
