Talent Is Never Enough

It seems as though John Maxwell comes out with a new book weekly.  Just as I begin to read one of his books another one appears.  Awhile back, when he came out with The Difference Maker, I grabbed it off the shelf and hurried home to read it.  It seemed as though no sooner than I had settle it to really absorb what I was reading, Maxwell came out with his next book, "Talent is Never Enough".  Come on!  I haven't had time to read the first one!

Reading is very important to me.  Few things accelerate your career faster than continual improvement.  If you want to be the best salesperson on the planet, then you must read literature by the acknowledged best.  Additionally, you must always read trade journals, industry publications, financial news and of course, gobble up all the content you can on web sites like Success Central

But with new books coming out every day, how do you keep up on the best?  What do you do to make sure you are absorbing all the newest, greatest and most pertinent information without becoming a full time copy editor?  For me, the decision was simple.

I had to find a way to read more, but free up time so that I could attend to other activities.  So, I searched the Internet and ran across the Soundview Executive Book Summaries.  I read a little about them and checked out one of their summaries online and decided to give it a try.  It really hasn't disappointed.  Soundview is more like the Cliff Notes of best sellers.  It gives me all the information I need in far less the time.

But don't get me wrong, I still buy my books.  Everyone should build a success library.  And I only use Soundview to complement my reading.  If I have a Soundview Executive Summary, I also have the book in my library.  If reading is as important to you as it is to me and you want to absorb as much material as you can yet still optimize your time, a service like Soundview might be right for you.  Of course there is speed reading - don't laugh, I've tried it!  But for most of us, the solution is something a little less complicated.  If you want more information about Soundview, just click on the link below, visit their web site and read the executive summary of Talent is Never Enough.  You may like what you see.
